Arabians come in the solid colors of bay, black, chestnut and grey. Some also carry
the sabino gene which makes them look like a pinto from mixed breeds, but they are
still purebred Arabians. Grey horses are born dark, like bay, black or chestnut.
They gradually turn grey as they age and go through many different shades and stages
of grey before they’re done.
Arabians have face and leg markings consistent with any other solid colored horse.
If one has the sabino gene it may have more white on its face and legs than normal
as well as body spots.
